References to “you” and “you” in these terms and conditions mean all passengers who are on the confirmation (including any who are replaced or added at a later date). “We” and “our” means Alfa Tours & Transfers by LEJ,LDA.

Alfa Tours & Transfers, is a company registered in Portugal, with its registered office at Aldeamento Turístico Alfagar, Estrada dos Olhos de Água, Apt 215 , Santa Eulália, Semina, Olhos de Água, 8200-384. The company registration number is RNAVT 9747 and the tax number is 516479393.

Bookings can be made online to the email info@alfatransfers.pt or by mobile phone (+351) 920389500 (call to national mobile network). Where two or more persons are included in the same booking, the person making the booking shall be deemed to have done so on behalf of both or all members of the booking and shall accept these terms and conditions on behalf of himself/herself, and for each member of the booking. The principal responsible person (“responsible person”) must be at least 18 years old.

Full payment is required at the time of booking or on arrival at or departure from the accommodation. In both cases, we will process the booking and issue by email the written confirmation with details of the persons involved in the booking and the transfers booked. The written confirmation acts as a “voucher” and must be presented to our representative/driver for the outward and/or return journeys. A legally binding contract will be created between the responsible party (and all passengers listed on the written booking) and us.

It is the responsibility of the responsible person (or any other person acting on behalf of passengers whose names appear on the written confirmation) to check the booking details before travel and to inform us as soon as possible if there are any errors. We cannot be held responsible for errors in services due to incorrect information provided at the time of booking.

European directive 2003/20/EC states that children must use a suitable child seat until they reach the age of 12 years or until they reach 135 cm.

All children and infants count towards vehicle occupancy regardless of age and therefore must be included in the projected field at the time of booking. Child seats are provided by us free of charge. We strongly recommend that you state your age at the time of booking so that we can provide the most suitable child seat according to age.

We are usually able to carry folding manual wheelchairs in our vehicles, but passengers must inform us at the time of booking. It is essential to ensure that the correct vehicle is available to meet your specific requirements.

Booking changes can be made directly by email or via telephone, free of any administration charge up to 2 days before the first service. In less than 2 days, these changes must be sent by email or telephone. The reservation number must be mentioned. If the change leads to an increase in cost, it must be paid by the client at the time of service. Last minute bookings will be subject to availability and a surcharge (until 24h before: 5€; until 12h before: 10€).

Cancellations within 48 hours of departure are subject to a cancellation fee. Cancellations outside 48 hours will be fully refunded.

Drivers or we reserve the right to refuse carriage to anyone who is, or appears to be, under the influence of alcohol or drugs and/or whose behaviour is deemed to be a threat to the driver or the vehicle. No refunds will be made in such circumstances.

Passengers are not permitted to consume alcohol in any of our vehicles. Smoking is also not permitted. All vehicles are fully insured for passenger and third-party claims, as required by Portuguese law. Passenger luggage is, however, carried entirely at their own risk and no liability can be accepted for loss or damage by us. We are not responsible for any costs incurred or for making any arrangements to return items to passengers.

If your incoming flight is diverted, we recommend that you contact us. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate changes of this nature, please inform us that no charges will apply.

We will give you the departure time of the services from the hotel/accommodation to the airport according to the flight time provided by you. We strongly recommend that you do not change your departure time to later. All passengers are advised to be at the airport 2 hours before flight departure.

The following are examples of circumstances that are not within our reasonable control:

Accidents causing vehicle delays;

Exceptional or severe weather conditions;

Compliance with police requests;

Road deaths and accidents;

Vandalism and terrorism, cyber terrorism;

Unforeseen traffic delays;

Industrial action by third parties, other circumstances affecting passenger safety;

Road closures due to local festivals or other events; Properties that are not accessible to a vehicle;

Floods, earthquakes or any other natural disaster;

Epidemic or pandemic;

War, the threat of war or similar;

Fire or Explosions;

Terrorist attacks or riots.

We will not be in breach of these terms and conditions, nor will we be liable for any failure or delay in performing any of our obligations under these terms and conditions arising from the above circumstances.

Our transfers are from the booked point of departure to the final point of arrival only. If extra stops are required (for example to collect the key from a flat to a third-party location), an additional charge payable may apply. The agreement and payment of these additional costs are between the person responsible and us.

In the unlikely event that our driver is late for service, and the responsible party is unable to contact us, we will pay for the extra money they have spent on a taxi. We are not responsible for any missed flights caused by this circumstance.

We, and each of our group companies, officers, and employees, exclude all liability for any amount or type of loss or damage you may incur, including any direct, indirect, punitive or consequential loss or damage, or any loss of revenue, profits, goodwill, data contract or damage losses arising out of or relating in any way to business interruption, loss of opportunity, loss of anticipated savings, wasted management or office time and whether in tort (including negligence), contract or otherwise, even if foreseeable, in connection with your booking, the transfer services and/or use of the site.

We exclude all representations and warranties relating to the transfer services you booked through us to the extent permitted by law.

We have the right to refuse any order placed by the passenger/s. We guarantee the allocation of the vehicle for all requests on the booking. If we cannot act on your booking request for one of our vehicles, we will request one of our suppliers. As a last resort, we will send you a taxi.

If any problems occur during your holiday, please let us know.

After the completion of each transfer provided by us, we ask for your rating on our social networks, thus making it available for us to share your opinion publicly.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and security. All personal data we obtain will be processed following our Privacy Policy (RGPD).

These terms and conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to it (including non-contractual disputes or claims) will be governed by and construed in accordance with Portuguese law. Disputes or claims arising out of or relating to these administrative terms and conditions (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.
